This was an article I wrote for my high school's newspaper, Crossroads. It was the largest article in our election issue. I was to young to vote, but I was a supporter of Ralph Nader's 2000 campaign.
The same issue I also compiled this list of third parties throughout US history.

This article was printed in Crossroads, my high school's newspaper on May 5, 2000. I remember this article created some controversy, as the band thought it was a less than favorable review. However our faculty advisor put it this way, Matt was comparing this band to the divine, what could thye be upset about?

This was a part of a features section that looked at social issues in the April 4, 2000 issue of my high school's newspaper Crossroads. This was soon after the November 1999 protests against sweatshops and the World Trade Organization, and right before the April 2000 protests against the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. I wrote this to help expose those issues. Unfortunately a printers error folded the pages and a head line that was supposed to read "Sweating it: A Look at Cheap Labor" became "Sweating It: A OK at Cheap Labor." I also wrote a small piece about child hunger.

This article was published by my high school's newspaper, Crossroads on February 29, 2000. I later joined the tribal band, playing the dijeridoo. We performed at monthly school mass and I was known as the dijeridoo guy for a while.
