Sweating It: a Look at Cheap Labor

This was a part of a features section that looked at social issues in the April 4, 2000 issue of my high school's newspaper Crossroads. This was soon after the November 1999 protests against sweatshops and the World Trade Organization, and right before the April 2000 protests against the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. I wrote this to help expose those issues. Unfortunately a printers error folded the pages and a head line that was supposed to read "Sweating it: A Look at Cheap Labor" became "Sweating It: A OK at Cheap Labor." I also wrote a small piece about child hunger.
